Next: Matthew Williamson for H&M

Almost as soon as the final pieces of the Comme De Garcons for H&M line are grabbed up, word of the next collaboration is spreading through the internet like wildfire, just as these things tend to do!
It recently was announced that Matthew Williamson will be creating lines for both men and women that will begin to hit H&M locations everywhere on April 23.

Guys -Listen up! This is a particularly exciting event, as Williamson will release his first ever menswear line. I'm predicting that these peices will turn heads and stand out in any crowded room.

Williamson is known for his bright colours and prints. Celebrity fans include the highly influential likes of Sienna Miller, Lindsay Lohan and Rihanna. Before showing first line in September of 1997 he designed for Pucci, the legendary fashion house famous for it's bold patterns and vibrant colours.
He was selected by H&M because he represents contemporary London style - which you've just got to love. H&M seems to have a major knack for nailing that mass-appeal factor.

Williamson sums up essentially what shoppers appreciate about the mega-retailer's guest designer lines: " I love the fact that H&M have created a new phenomenon in fashion through the pioneering concept of collaborating with high-end designers to create one-off limited edition capsule collections. I am thrilled that my creations for H&M will be accessible to and hopefully enjoyed by so many people around the world,“ says the talented Brit.

H&M's previous guest designers were Stella McCartney, Karl Lagerfeld and Rei Kawakubo. Hardcore fashion fans and average teenagers alike appreciate how H&M has made these previously unattainable designers so accessible and collectible.
